Below is an small sampling of the faith journeys shared in "From Wounded Hearts."  These are the real stories of those who have struggled to gain acceptance of their beliefs when those who were said to "speak for God" cast them aside.  For more information on how to order your copy of the book, please see out contact page.

From "Still Standing," by Terri M. as it appears in From Wounded Hearts:

"In desperation, I looked up and said, "God, I give up.  I give up!  I can not keep up this testing.  And I can not hang onto some hope that someday this will disappearof its own account.  So, I am not going to deal with it any more.  It is in your hands now.  If you want me to be a manm you put those feelings in me.  If you want me to be a woman, you put those in me.  But I am not going to try either way anymore.  I am going with the assurance that you alone can give."

Then in my heart, the Lord said, "Well, finally!  Do you know how long I have waited to hear that?"  There was no doubt in my mind from that point on.  There was no need to test any longer."

From
"In God's Presence," by Stephanie Davis, as it appears in From Wounded Hearts.

"There is a seed of faith in all of us who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered people.  It is a faith almost strangled, but still alive.  Will the church nourish such faith?  Or will it allow our faith to be snuffed out by making Christ inaccessible to us.  My prayer is that God will put away our petty doctrines and divisive theologies so that we may truly see that the love of Christ is for all people."
